Mainstay of both the australian and global noise scene, Uboa has crafted out a truly unique sound over the last few years, drawing from doom and sludge, post metal, ambient, industrial and of course favourite of yours truly harsh noise. Empathy Shield is the recording of a live radio set in Perth (initially released digitally on her bandcamp last year), mixing lush ambient textures and clean vocals with mutilated screams and (in my opinion) some of her best abrasive textures to date. B side Empathy fatigue is a heady remix of the aforementioned recording. Dark, giddy euphoria all around.
